In My Story

God is in the story. God is in my story. He is in our story.

It is so easy to be overwhelmed with circumstances, but God comes into the story when I choose to give Him the pen and let Him write my story. And when He’s the Author, I know the story will end well.

Yes the tears flow frequently. After all, I’m human and I’m not exempt from the unexpected twists and shrapnel of life. But, I can trust the story God is writing. I don’t have to take responsibility in how He’s writing this story of my life, or how it’s unfolding. I just choose to trust the Great Author of my story. I choose to let the Omnipotent, all knowing God control and write my life.

I’m not going to tell The Author how to write my story. Seriously, I can’t imagine the paper and ink screaming out to the author and try to dictate the story. Likewise, I’m not going to tell God how to write my story.

Over the next while, I plan to post random stories, or as I sometimes refer to them, they’re “scenes from the movie of my life”. Some may be silly, some may be confusing, and others stories might be transparent and painful. No matter what the scenes depict, the intent is to honor the Author.

He is the author of my story, and the composer of my song. (Yes, more about music and songs later as well.)
