My Prayer – Do Something

In this world of uncertainty, I am so grateful that there is an anchor and a certainty in God. While the world seems to be spinning out of control, there is a God who is still in control. And, in the midst of smoke, storms, and chaos,  the safest place to be is to rest in Him, trust in Him, and follow Him.

Its during these unexpected events life throws my way that I  need to lean on Him more than ever before.  Nothing  is a surprise to God.  He knows what’s best for me.  He knows how the story ends. I just need to follow Him into the story and through the winding curves of what He’s writing in my life.  That’s how He creates a beautiful place in time and eternity.

It is during these zinging, twisting, upheavals of uncertainty that my heart longs to follow even more closely to God. Where does He lead me? Where is the path I should walk in? Is there another valley or mountain ahead?

I just long to follow Him.

It’s easier to not do anything and stay here in the known than to boldly go forward into the unknown. 

However, I don’t want to stay here in my known comfort zone if you, oh God, are moving on to the unknown.  I want to move forward with you God, wherever You go, wherever You lead.

I don’t want to go forward without You, yet I don’t want to stay if You’re moving on. 

Please guide and make my path abundantly clear. May I always walk in the story you are writing for me, and writing with me. May You always shine on the path so I can clearly and confidently take my next step in life, and into this story.
